Our inn is a long-established Amanohashidate inn, opened in the first year of Meiji. Beginning with Kanshichi Chaya, founded in 1690 during the Edo period, we have journeyed alongside the history of Amanohashidate's Monju district. Although we are a small inn with just 10 rooms, we offer a welcoming, somehow nostalgic, and heartwarming atmosphere. With meticulous care and service, we hope to make your precious time here an irreplaceable memory. We hope you'll appreciate our traditional, old-fashioned appearance as part of our hospitality.
Upon arrival, please first enjoy our famous Amanohashidate Chie no Mochi cakes with tea – a treat connecting to our roots.
Enjoy Chie no Mochi with tea in our traditional lobby, which evokes classic Japanese scenes with its earthen floor and sunken hearth (irori). The refreshing sweetness of the bean paste soothes travel fatigue.
*Note: On days when Kanshichi Chaya is closed, a different sweet will be served.
To make stays easier for families with young children, we offer items such as baby chairs (convenient for bath time), appropriate tableware, and waterproof sheets. Please feel free to ask about availability. We aim to ensure a comfortable stay for guests with small children.
Borrow parasols (essential for sunny days) and rain boots free of charge.
Bicycles convenient for exploring Amanohashidate are also available.
Rental Bicycles: ¥400 per bike (Reservations not required)
Throughout the rooms and the inn, you'll find many handmade ornaments and fixtures created by our staff or local artists. These embody our inn's concept of "Handmade Hospitality." We hope they bring you even a little comfort and peace of mind.
